June 28, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Manitowoc Public Library
It’s 1944 and Manitowoc is fully engaged in the war effort. During local historian Carl Sieracki’s fascinating and engaging lecture, see and hear what Manitowoc and the surrounding area looked like, and what it was involved with during WWII. From building twenty-eight submarines, to producing over a million shell casings, to supporting the war effort through scrap and bond drives, Manitowoc was a completely different metropolis than the one with which we are familiar today. Carl brings World War II Manitowoc to vibrant life on Thursday, June 28th, at 6 PM in the Balkansky Community Room. Regardless of which generation you belong, this is certain to be a memorable evening steeped in local history. Admission is FREE!!!
