The City Clerk’s Office is responsible for: conducting elections, maintaining permanent Common Council documents, notifying the public of public meetings, billing of special assessments, mail posting and distribution, issuance of licenses for taverns, bartenders, and related licenses, direct sellers, taxi drivers, and other licenses.

The City Clerk’s office acts as a liaison between the public, city departments, and the Common Council.
