At the Rahr-West Art Museum, we have a passion for the important role visual arts plays in education. We offer weekly classes for teens, ages 13-17. Our knowledgeable instructors provide students with inspiration and tools to make the process of creating art fun and educational.
Classes will take place on Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00pm.

January: Exploring Chagall Students will explore Chagall throughout the month of January by learning about him, interacting with his work in the galleries, and making their own work inspired by the artists.
February: Pour Painting Pour painting is a fascinating fluid painting technique. Students will learn color theory and experiment with a variety of techniques to achieve amazing results. And they don't even need a paintbrush.
March: Women Artists In celebration of Women's History Month, students will explore women artists in the Rahr's collection and beyond. Students will then choose an artist they learned about to create a piece inspired by their chosen artist.
April: Polymer Clay Throughout the month of April, students will explore and create pieces in polymer clay.
May: Stolen Sisters & Geo Rutherford Throughout the month of May, students will explore the Stolen Sisters and Geo Rutherford exhibits. Students will create their own pieces inspired by the works on exhibit.
