The Rahr-West Art Museum is excited to host another year of Paint Out, our newest plein air painting event!

What is plein air painting?
En plein air (in open air) is the act of painting outdoors, utilizing the landscape as a direct reference.

This year, Paint Out will take place along the lakeshore at Lighthouse Park.  Rahr-West Art Museum table and music will be at the Lighthouse Pavilion.  We are thrilled to have two renowned plein air painters for demonstrations - Nita Moore and Hector Acuna.  Each artist will demo for two hours.  The public is invited to bring art supplies, set up, paint along, and enjoy the demonstrations and live music.

Paint Out will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2023

Artist demos:  11:00AM-1:00PM and 2:00PM-4:00pm
