Boarding the Bus

General Information

While on board, please be considerate of your fellow riders and follow these simple common sense rules. For additional information, please call (920) 686-3560.

Things to Do

When riding the bus, please:
  • Give your seat to any person who is less able to stand than you are
  • Listen to and obey the driver’s instructions
  • Read informational handouts and notices posted in the buses
  • Take a seat if one is available and remain seated while the bus is moving
  • Wear proper clothing:
    • Shirts and shoes are required
    • Skates of any kind are not allowed

Things Not to Do

The following are a list of things that you should not do while riding the bus:
  • Bring an unreasonable size or number of bundles onto the bus (1-2 bags)
    • A good rule of thumb is not to bring more bundles on the bus than you can safely hold in your lap
  • Bring animals, except for service animals, aboard the bus unless they are in enclosed containers that can be held on your lap
  • Bring weapons or hazardous materials aboard
  • Eat or drink
  • Expect the driver to assist you with your bundles / packages
  • Fight or roughhouse
  • Leave trash on the seats or floor
  • Play radios, tapes, CDs, or MP3s unless you use headphones
  • Put your feet on any seat or against the wall
  • Put your hands or anything else out the window
  • Smoke or chew tobacco
  • Use loud or offensive language
In addition, you should avoid moving about while the bus is in motion, particularly in wet or snowy weather when the bus floor is likely to be slippery. Drivers may ask riders who do not observe these rules to leave the bus.
