General Information

Maritime Metro Transit and the City of Manitowoc have entered into an agreement with Manitowoc County to provide transportation services for the residents of Manitowoc County for the duration of three (3) years beginning January 1, 2017 and expiring on January 1, 2020. The County transportation options are managed by Maritime Metro Transit through coordination with the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC).

Funding

Funding for the County programs is available through the State of Wisconsin’s 85.21 Program. The program requires an annual grant application and disbursement of funds is based on Manitowoc County’s population. The money available for this program has been designated to service elderly and disabled individuals throughout Manitowoc County.

As part of the transportation coordination efforts between the City of Manitowoc and Manitowoc County, Maritime Metro Transit was designated as the One-Stop Call Center for Transportation Services throughout Manitowoc County in 2009. The One-Stop Call Center serves as an information referral service for individuals seeking transportation options.
