[ARCHIVED] LOVE LETTERS

Love Letters

Join us for a romantic night of dinner and theater at the Rahr-West Art Museum. We will be hosting our event in the Ruth West Gallery of the museum. Your ticket includes drinks, dinner, dessert, chocolates, champagne, chocolate liqueur, and theater performance of Love Letters by A.R. Gurney. $75 per person – limited seating, call 686-3090 for tickets. All proceeds to benefit the Rahr-West Art Museum Charitable Foundation.

Love Letters, A.R. Gurney's popular romantic comedy, is a tribute to lasting friendship. From their first scrawled valentines of childhood, to the last guilty goodbyes, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III's letters envelop us in a unique nostalgia. While the images they create bring back youth's universal innocence, fears and fancies, they further reveal themselves, their goals and their dreams in a "love affair" that takes them from grade school through middle age. And as they ponder opportunity lost and love squandered, we see the very essence of their life-long relationship...all in the letters that were at it's very root. Add the acting talents of Chris Kornely and Rick Gerroll, and you have a performance not to be missed.

The Love Letters event is sponsored by Bank First National, Michael E. Halla & Associates, Chris Kornely & Rick Gerroll, Fricke Printing Services, Inc., The Kohler Company, and Beernsten’s Confectionary
