[ARCHIVED] Winter Parking Ban Declared

Mayor Justin M. Nickels has declared a winter parking ban for overnight Monday night (2-10-20) into Tuesday morning (2-11-20).

A winter parking ban will be in effect overnight Monday (technically Tuesday morning 2-11-20) from 1:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. There shall be no parking on the Winter Parking Ban streets (salt routes which include bus and truck routes, arterial streets, State Highways, and County Trunks within the City’s jurisdiction). Seek alternative parking on non-restricted streets.  Tickets will be placed during the Winter Parking Ban.  Winter Parking Ban fine is $50.00.

Remember: even if your street has already been plowed or appears plowed, the parking ban is still in effect on every city street. Do not assume that if your road has been plowed that you can park on the street. There is no parking between 1:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.

Thank you for helping our crews plow the streets safely.

Salt Route Maps are available on the City website,, by clicking on departments, Public Infrastructure, Snow & Ice Control, and Snow/Salt Maps.

Notification of the Winter Parking Ban will be on the City website,, as well as the City Facebook page, WOMT, WCUB, WLKN, WTAQ, WBAY, FOX 11, NBC26, Infinity Channel 4, text and/or email alert or call 920-686-6550.
