Due to escalating COVID-19 cases within our community, the Rahr-West Art Museum will be temporarily closing to the public, effective Monday, October 19. While the museum building will be closed to the public, we will utilize www.rahrwestartmuseum.org and the Rahr-West Art Museum Facebook page to showcase artwork, exhibits and additional programming. Our primary focus today is the health and safety of our visitors and staff. The museum will continue to work with City of Manitowoc partners to assess the health challenges of our community to evaluate the appropriate time for re-opening. We intend to host an extended ‘Art of Tablesetting’ exhibition upon our return to in-person visits and continue to plan for our annual ‘Christmas in the Mansion’ to proceed as scheduled. As this crisis evolves, the Rahr-West is committed to providing innovative ways to reach our public, and will continue to update you on our efforts to bring the best in visual arts to Manitowoc.
