Election 2021


The City of Manitowoc will be holding the Spring Election on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.  The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed.  

 

District 1, 2, 3, 7, and 10 have two-year terms expiring on April 19th, 2021.  The two-year term for Alderperson in these districts begins on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.  Information concerning aldermanic district boundaries may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office, 900 Quay Street, Manitowoc, by calling 920-686-6950, or by visiting www.manitowoc.org/DistrictMap.  The number of required signatures of qualified electors from the same Aldermanic District for the office of Alderperson shall be not less than 20 nor more than 40.  In order to be eligible to run for Alderperson, those interested must be at least 18 years old, live in the Aldermanic District you’re running for, and not be a convicted felon.

 

The Mayor’s four-year term expires on April 19th, 2021, and the four-year term for Mayor begins on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.  The number of required signatures of qualified electors residing in the City of Manitowoc for the office of Mayor shall not be less than 200 nor more than 400.   In order to be eligible to run for Mayor, those interested must be at least 18 years old, live in the City of Manitowoc, and not be a convicted felon.

 

The first date to circulate nomination papers was December 1, 2020, and the final day for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, in the office of the City Clerk.  

 

If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
