The Rahr-West Art Museum is proud to present the Portrait of Manitowoc Project, an artist residency and community art project in collaboration with local portrait artist Sonia Vasquez that celebrates the diversity of Manitowoc. Residents are encouraged to participate in the Portrait of Manitowoc Project by submitting their own self portrait. This project is generously funded by the Art Bridges Foundation.
We invite all to join us as Vasquez paints in the gallery, demonstrating her traditional oil painting technique and answering questions about the Portrait of Manitowoc Project on the following dates:
Saturday, March 6 - 1:00pm-4:00pm
Saturday, March 20 - 1:00pm-4:00pm
Saturday, April 3 - 1:00pm-4:00pm
Participation information, including instructions and how to obtain materials is available on the Rahr-West Art Museum website.
