An increase of over 38% from 2020 to 2021 puts the average credit at about $229 in credit per household.

Last year that figure was about $166.

In total, the Wisconsin lottery credit was $343.6 million in 2021.  So if you own a home and don't play the lottery...don't worry, Everyone Wins!

It is important to remind new home owners to sign up for the lottery credit as this doesn't automatically transfer through a recent purchase.

A link to the fillable form online can be found here.  This form is only good until January 31st.  After that date, you will need to apply directly to the State of Wisconsin.

If you are not eligible and apply for the credit, the State of Wisconsin could assess interest and penalties.
