[ARCHIVED] Partial Closure of Lincoln Park Roadway Beginning 7-28-23

Map - Lincoln Park Roadway Closure Beginning 7-28-23

A portion of the Lincoln Park roadway, between the parking lot at the main entrance to the zoo and heading northwest to cabin 2, will be closed for reconstruction beginning Friday, July 28th.   Construction is expected to last approximately two weeks depending on weather conditions, etc.

Visitors to the Lincoln Park Zoo will be able to access the zoo from the Reed Avenue entrance.  Keep in mind that construction is taking place on Reed Avenue, so there is only one-way traffic on Reed Avenue.  At this time, traffic is currently heading eastbound.

Visitors to cabin 2 should use the entrance off of Lincoln Boulevard on the south side of the park.  The roadway between the playground and cabin 2 will be open; however, the roadway on the north side of cabin 2 will be closed for reconstruction.

Access to cabin 1, the hexagonal open air shelter, the tennis courts, ball diamond, and fieldhouse will not be affected.
