[ARCHIVED] Emergency Storm Brush Pickup Scheduled

An Emergency Storm Brush Pickup in the City of Manitowoc is scheduled beginning at 6 AM on Wednesday, August 9th.   All brush must be on the terrace (between the sidewalk and the street) prior to 6 AM on Wednesday, August 9th.   This will be a one-time pickup of the entire City.  The pickup is expected to take about several days to complete, but crews will pickup on each street only once.

Items that are placed for pickup must comply with the Manitowoc County Compost Sites’ requirements.  For example, brush must consist of clean woody vegetative material not to exceed five (5) feet in length or six (6) inches in diameter and/or bushes/shrubs without root bulbs.  For information about the Manitowoc County Compost Sites, please call (920) 683-4333.

For additional information, contact the Department of Infrastructure – Streets and Sanitation Division between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday – Thursday or 7:30 am and 11:30 am Friday at (920) 686-6550 or visit the website at www.manitowoc.org.  For after hour emergencies, call the Police Department Joint Dispatch Center at (920) 683-4470.
