At 20:45 hrs. the National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for Manitowoc County. A tornado watch means that conditions are right for the possible development of severe weather.

The Manitowoc Fire Department has opened the severe weather shelters. They are located at the four fire stations:

Station One- 911 Franklin Street
Station Two-1410 N. 8th Street
Station Three- 3820 Dewey Street
Station Four- 1125 Fleetwood Drive
