The City of Manitowoc will begin construction work at the Broadway Street Bridge to repair the areas that failed this past April.

The Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 17th.

Zenith Tech Inc. from Waukesha, WI will be the contractor performing the work.

Broadway Street will be closed to through traffic for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Traffic on Broadway Street will be detoured during the work.

Westbound traffic on Meadow Lane will be detoured onto S. 35th St. and proceed southbound on S. 35th St. to Custer St., then westbound on Custer St. to S. Rapids Rd. (CTH "R") and then northbound on Rapids Rd. to Broadway St.

Southbound traffic on N. Rapids Rd. will be detoured to Custer St. and proceed eastbound on Custer St. to S. 35th St., then northbound on S. 35th St. to Meadow Ln.

Pedestrian and bike traffic, etc. will not be permitted to cross the bridge during construction.

The driveway entrance to Lower Schuette Park will also be closed during the construction.

The anticipated completion date is December 2nd, if good weather prevails.
