[ARCHIVED] SNOWSTORM CLEANUP UPDATE

Thank you for your patience as we continue to clean up from last week’s major snowstorm. All roads have been plowed, however, due to vehicular traffic on the roads before being plowed, snow is hard packed and frozen on side streets and plows cannot remove this hard packed snow. Crews are out treating the streets and will be out the rest of the week plowing snow off of the side streets as it melts.

Unfortunately, as crews work on plowing, it is unavoidable that snow will be deposited into driveway approaches. The City does not cleanup or remove snow from private property.

To report a sidewalk not shoveled you can go onto the City website and click in the bottom left corner on Report a Concern or call 686-6550. Please make sure that you have the address of the property not shoveled.

For more information regarding snow plowing and procedures, visit our City website at www.manitowoc.org and click on departments, Public Infrastructure, Snow & Ice control.

Sign up for text or email alerts by visiting www.manitowoc.org and clicking on the Notify Me button in the lower left corner and follow the instructions. You can also contact the Department of Public Infrastructure – Streets and Sanitation Division between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm, Monday – Friday at 686-6550.
