History

Lincolnshire Park was dedicated for park purposes as part of the 1960 subdivision plat.  In June of 1970, the Common Council authorized City officials to develop the park in the residential area.  A special park development fund was used to make the necessary improvements, such as playground equipment.  At the time, Alderman Coons said that it was one of the last two areas in the city with designated parkland which had not been developed.
