2023 Winter Reading Program @ Manitowoc Public Library

Warm up to s Good Book at MPL! The Winter Reading Program is open to all ages! Read or be read to a total of 10 hours from Saturday, January 28, through Saturday, March 4. Everyone that finishes receives a prize! Track your reading on the Beanstack app or by visiting manitowoclibrary.beanstack.org/reader365 or by picking up a paper tracker at any Service Desk.

Nurdle Patrol: Health of the Great Lakes

This virtual program is a continuation of Manitowoc Public Library’s ongoing Citizen Science Nurdle Patrol, taking place online between 6-8 PM on Monday, January 23. Nurdles are raw plastic pellets that are getting into our waterways and causing problems. A panel of experts will discuss nurdles and their impact on the Great Lakes. A Q&A session will immediately follow this discussion and we encourage everyone watching to participate in the program by entering their questions and comments via the “Comments” box on either of the broadcast platforms.
